Resumen:

 El bruxismo es considerado como uno de los desórdenes funcionales orales de mayor prevalencia, que se observa en todas las edades y con incidencia semejante en ambos sexos. Este trabajo trata de un estudio clínico de dos terapeutas en el que se ha realizado un análisis de comparación de dos medias para datos apareados mediante la t-student, con lo que se pretende comprobar la eficacia de una serie de técnicas osteopáticas craneales en pacientes con bruxismo crónico y observar si hay modificación del dolor mandibular tras la aplicación de las técnicas osteopáticas por ambos terapeutas. La gran mayoría de los pacientes de ambos grupos de tratamiento experimentaron un beneficio terapéutico clínicamente significativo respecto a la valoración inicial. Por tanto, podemos concluir que los resultados terapéuticos con técnicas osteopáticas en el bruxismo son beneficiosos.

Abstract:

 Bruxism is considered one of the functional disorders most prevalent oral, seen in all ages and with similar incidence in both sexes. This study is a clinical trial in which two therapists has made a comparative analysis of two means by paired t-student with the objectives aim is to test the effectiveness of a range of osteopathic techniques head in patients with chronic bruxism and see if there is modification of jaw pain upon application of osteopathic techniques for both therapists. The vast majority of patients in both treatment groups experienced a clinically meaningful therapeutic benefit over the initial assessment. We can therefore conclude that the therapeutic results in bruxism osteopathic techniques are beneficial.
