La disfunción del movimiento del hueso carpiano, o el dolor al moverse o palparse, es un hallazgo común en pacientes con síndrome del túnel carpiano (STC). Se pueden utilizar múltiples técnicas de diagnóstico y terapéuticas para abordar la disfunción somática relacionada con el STC. Aquí, proporcionamos un ejemplo de una evaluación de diagnóstico simple y eficiente seguida de un tratamiento de manipulación osteopática (OMT) para la disfunción somática del hueso del carpo. Los síntomas clásicos del síndrome del túnel carpiano son parestesia, entumecimiento o ardor en el pulgar y los 2,5 dedos laterales1.
